Jean is a Korean-Australian (you heard that right) based in New York City. She was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, until she was 9, and lived in Korea until her high school graduation. After a lot of soul searching, she realized her passion is editing to find a story she cares about within the film. Her projects range from documentary, narrative, commercial, fashion, and experimental films, and she also likes to dabble in film photography as a way to capture her travels and loved ones.

Her documentary, If You Forget, I’ll Remember, premiered at DOC NYC in 2024. Along with this film, many of her works revolve around human dynamics and personal relationships as she realizes that the people in her life are what make her today. Her favorite foods are pho and kimchi-jjigae (kimchi soup), which she likes so much she made a video about. She adores her family, friends, and her dog, Bleu, which she will probably feature in many of her projects.
